August 5
Today we drove around the Bahuslan coast, a series of fjords with rocky islands between Goteburg and the Norwegian border.  Some of the villages at the end of the roads were just clusters of houses dotted on the rocks.  Swedish buildings are bigger than Danish ones with less roof and more walls, mainly painted red and made of wood, vertical strips.  (Denmark was brick often painted over white or mustard colour).

We called at a place called Fjallbacka in the afternoon and walked up some steps and through a crack with huge rocks wedged in it, then up more steps to the top of the rocky mountain where we could see the village below us and the fjord stretching out to sea.  Then we had to have those ice creams!

Now we're at Stromstad near the Norwegian border at a camp with wifi and washing machines!
