Cabin

Today was rainy all day - or we were in the clouds!  Lots of the day would have been stunning scenery-wise if the weather had been better.  We left camp and drove up some hairpin bends stopping at a viewing platform like a plank over the fjord.

At Kaupanger we went to see the stave church, tickets were at the red barn cafe.  We went in and there was a roaring fire and home- made cakes :-)  The guy serving said he'd take us through the church after we'd had our coffee and this was very interesting because he knew a lot and could answer our questions.  He let us climb some ladders into the tower where the bells were.

Then we went onto a plateau with a lot of snow pockets, waterfalls, and a sort of glacier in the distance.  Then we went down the other side and since it was still raining we decided to get a cabin at one of the campsites.  It was very cosy and good to have a nice warm sleep.  We hung up the tent fly inside to dry off overnight so all was dry in the morning, especially us.
