yeah what are you looking at?

Battle town early Sunday morning - not a cloud in the sky

Faith and Quentin at the site of the 1066 battle

some people went by riding on little traction engines

Today dawned cloudless and quite warm in the sun.  We went to look around the ruins of the Abbey that had been built on the site of the battle of 1066.  There is an exhibition retelling what happened on the day of the Battle and audio-guides as you go around.

We had lunch at the tea rooms at Bodiam castle (just for a change from the pubs) then had a stroll around.  The afternoon reverted to cloudy weather unfortunately.  There were people with birds of prey that we watched for a while.  Then we drove north to London to drop Faith and Quentin back before continuing up to Stapleford.  A really good weekend despite the puncture and the weather!
